Prof. Zhang Ge experienced his M.D. training in orthopedics & traumatology from a Joint Program of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Chinese University of Hong Kong from 2000 to 2003. After obtaining his M.D. in Orthopedics & Traumatology, Prof. Zhang Ge started his postdoctoral research in Department of Orthopedics & Traumatology in the Chinese University of Hong Kong from 2004 to 2006. Thereafter, Prof. Zhang Ge was appointed as Research Assistant Professor by Department of Orthopedics & Traumatology in the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2007. In 2012, Prof. Zhang Ge joined Hong Kong Baptist University. His research focus is in basic science & clinical translational research in orthopedics & traumatology, including osteoporosis, osteonecrosis, fracture repair osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Prof. Zhang has led his group to publish a series of research works in Nature Medicine, Arthritis & Rheumatism, Journal of Bone & Mineral Research, Bone and Osteoporosis International.
